Ngayon lng ulit ako nakabalik to update my blog since my hubby was going thru tough times recently..I rushed my hubby several times to 3 different hospitals already with his illness. Well, it started around June of this year when he felt pain in his abdomen and was rushed to the hospital near us but he doctors ruled it out as an incident of dyspepsia only after being confined for 3 days and he is out. Well, the pain seems to disappear until late this October when he felt the pain again in the same region. I rushed him to St. Luke's Hospital and here he was diagnose with a Cholelithiasis or a presence of stone in his gallbladder but his gastroenterologist cannot perform immediate operation since there's little complication with his liver. He went to 2 weeks of medication until his liver will be ready for the operation. Again, the pain went off unknowingly waiting for a final burst. It was November 25 when he felt it again but this time more pain than ever. We were in the Ortigas district so rushing him to St. Luke's is not an option for us. He was confined here at The Medical City and finally last November 26, 2008 when he undergo Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. His gallbladder was remove and so the "stone" at talagang nagulat kami sa laki ng nakuhang bato. You can see the picture of it and his wounds...pasensya n lng po medyo kadiri..
Akala ko ok na ang lahat but after 2 days na makalabas kmi ng hospital he felt another pain. It was almost Dec 1 at patulog n kmi na sumakit ng todo ang tiyan nya.. Around 3 AM when I decide to rushed him again to The Medical City. I can see my hubby crying out loud sa pain at pawis na pawis sya yet he felt cold na he even asked the cab driver not to turn the ac on...awang-awang ako sa kanya that time and all I can do is to say to hold on and we're almost there..That is the only time I saw him like that knowing he was already operated so I thought n ok n. I kept on praying since he's really in pain and he started vomiting as well..sa hospital the situation stays the same at sa loob ng ER where he was subjected to several test and laboratories again, CBC, x-rays and even CT-Scan. This confinement was ruled out as acute pancreatitis and learning from his gastro which btw a good doctor since he explain everything to us, that a percentage of people experience this after doing Laparoscopic surgery or after experiencing a gallbladder stone yun nga lng un sa hubby ko naging immediate ang reaksyon.
Now he is feeling better, and was discharged last Fri. He still needs to undergo MRI and ERCP as per his doctors to ensure na hindi na ito mauulit. His gastroenterologist wants to check and make it sure na walang magiging hadlang sa pancreas nya to function correctly. Hopefully after almost 2 consecutive weeks of stay sa hospital (where it seems naging boarding house ko since malapitya sa workplace), a tremendous amount of money spent (buti n lng he got hmo to cover it) and several test done plus considering the take home meds...he will be really well and to recover from it since malaki rin ang pinayat nya...all I can say is with God's help we will surpass this and I'll be here for my hubby.
