What?? Did I heard it right?? w**? I just upgraded to the slim version this month and the rumors won't stop about the newest addition to the PSP family...
The event currently going down at
Leipzig is now officially more exciting than E3. Taking the ace out of its sleeve,
Sony has just officially announced the
PSP-3000 at their press conference. Speculate no more folks, here's the skinny.According to
David Reeves, the
PSP-3000 will have its own built-in microphone, and has an enhanced LCD screen that will “increase intensity and the number of colors that can be displayed – and is easier to view in natural light."That's a pic of it up there. The unit will launch on October 15 in PAL

territories, tagged at EUR 199 (US$ 292).
As you can probably guess, Japan's also getting the
PSP-3000 in October. The main difference between the Japanese release and the North American release, however, lies in the number of options the Japanese have in grabbing the
PSP-3000.According to a recent press release sent out by
Sony Japan, the
PSP-3000 will come out in the country on October 16 for 19,800 yen (US$ 183). It'll come in three colors as well - Piano Black, Pearl White, and Mystic Silver - with plans for additional colors in the future. The Japanese will also get different bundles to choose from, to coincide with the release of three high-profile games. In order of release, these are
Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam VS Gundam (November 20),
Patapon 2 (November 27), and
Dissidia: Final Fantasy (December 18). These bundles will be priced at 24,840 yen (US$ 230), 23,800 yen (US$ 220) and 25,890 yen (US$ 240) respectively.
